" After living in Mexico for a while, I was eager to find a spot that reminded me of home, and Gus Tacos was a pleasant surprise! The tacos al pastor were delicious, and so was the guacamole, which had the right level of seasoning. However, I did wish the portion could have been larger for the price. They felt a bit dry, and honestly, I’ve had way better at other establishments. The atmosphere didn’t feel inviting either - cold lights and sparse decoration made me want to eat and run. " I was a regular at Gus's when they were at Dupont street, so naturally, I had to check out their new location. I feel like their quality has dipped a bit. The beef burrito I ordered was overly sauced and lacked the usual depth of flavor. Their portion sizes seem to have shrunk just a bit, too. " This place is a gem! I’ve been searching for authentic tacos since I arrived in Toronto, and Gus Tacos did not disappoint. I ordered the fish tacos, and they were absolutely stellar despite the slight change from grilled to deep-fried. The flavor was there, and the toppings were generous and fresh. " I had such a good time at Gus Tacos! I tried their fish tacos, and they were delicious! Lightly battered and full of taste. I also enjoyed the variety of salsas they offered. It could use some work on hygiene, as the table was a bit sticky, but the staff were very helpful and quick with service. I’ll definitely be returning for another taco fix, that’s for sure!
